Brief entries mention the Spotsylvania campaign; the battle of North Anna River; the Cold Harbor campaign and the death of his colonel P.A. The end of the diary contains miscellaneous notes regarding days worked [at a blind asylum?], financial accounts, and names [of comrades?].
